    Did virtually that same set-up, but with different ratios and Ultegra shifters. It should work just fine. Mine is 11-28 10-speed. I eventually switched to an Ultegra rear derailleur, but that was mostly for aesthetics.

    I thought that 10-speed Shimano road shifters wouldn’t work with 10-speed Shimano MTB derailleurs, but would work with 9-speed Shimano MTB derailleurs. Could be wrong though.

    Mine worked with no problems. The road derailleur worked better.
