I put my bike in the shower to wash it because I live in an apartment and it’s my only convenient cleaning option. I just try not to get water in the BB or the tubes.
Washing a bike seems to be very much like washing a dog – you don’t actually reduce the amount of dirt, you just transfer it from the bike/dog to yourself. The Law of Constant Dirt.
S’one reason I like the looks of the All-City frames, they have special extra-cool no-rust coating inside.
