    That’s great. I totally agree on the versatility of a simple neck gator. Around the neck, it’s a good core warmer. Lift the frount up over your mouth to so you’re not breathing icy cold air directly. Back down at stoplights to avoid fogging your glasses. Can be lifted all the way over the nose and mouth if it’s truly frostbite weather.

    And the neck gator’s essential roundness allows you to rotate it a half turn mid-ride in case the front gets crusted over.

    There are a couple of Winnipeg riders over on the bikejournal.com forum. I’m always in awe of their winter riding. I tried to borrow a bike this time of year when I was in Ulaanbaatar, but the one guy I knew who was riding didN’t bring his bike in the two days after I saw him the first time.
