The forecast for tomorrow looks pretty dreadful, but yes, I’m still crazy enough to ride. Bring your rain gear and whatever extra clothes, socks, or gloves you need to be comfortable at the stops. This is a no-hypothermia-allowed event.

This shorter route we’ll be using is at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29419142.

I’m afraid I’ll have to withdraw from the ride tomorrow. The weather plus some issues at home will keep me away. Those who go, stay warm!

Jo and I will be there. I’ll just keep reminding myself through all the misery that nobody can tell you’re crying in the rain…

SarahBee and I are in. Looks like rain won’t arrive until this afternoon, so hoping for the best, planning for the worst!

Same, I’m hoping to join this morning and ride for a little bit before splitting off and heading home before the main precipitation arrives.

The company was wonderful, the artisanal alcohol purveyors quite interesting and my feet are no longer purple. Thanks for leading Komorebi, but remind me to get shoe covers before you lead your next ride!

What a fantastic ride and amazing turnout in challenging weather! Thanks to everyone who visited Maryland Meadworks today, as well as supporting so many other small businesses in Hyattsville including our friends at Sangfroid Distillery, Streetcar 82 and Pizzeria Paradiso. It’s our dream to be a bike-worthy destination, so please spread the word and bring your biking friends back with you to H’ville!

For folks interested in ordering Maryland Meadworks Cycling Kits, the online portal closes March 10: http://www.tinyurl.com/meadworks for shipment this Spring. Wearing our gear to our tasting room gets you a $1 discount on all mead, and jealous glances because it looks pretty cool, eh?

Mega kudos to everyone who braved cold rain, icy sleet, smelly Anacostia River mud, and tire-eating potholes on today’s Bakeries, Brews, and Booze ride! Thanks for keeping it fun despite the weather. You are all Rule 9 badasses, and I’m proud to have ridden with you.

New Event: Hains Point Loop(s) and Free Performance of the Shanghai Quartet at the Freer Sackler Gallery – Thursday March 7th

    https://www.freersackler.si.edu/events-overview/all-events/#/?i=1

When: March 7th, 2019. Meet at 6pm in front of the Hirshhorn (Jefferson Ave side). We will do loops around Hains Point and then ETA in front of the Freer Sackler for 7pm.

    Performance starts at 7:30pm.

Cost: If you want to pick your seats in advance, cost is $6 at the link above. Or you can just show up for free.

There are bike racks in front of the museum and I would recommend a sturdy bike lock.

Let me know if you’re interested and if you want to meet up for just the ride, just the show, or both.

Is it just free, or is it even freer?

I can’t make the ride, but I’ll meet you all in front of the Freer Sackler at 7 p.m. Thanks for organizing!
