There’s a little groundhog day festival in Dupont Circle next Fri. They will have free coffee and other goodies there. Since there are several coffee and donut shops close by, if anyone would like to stay a little more afterwards, I’m thinking we can head to one of them to pick up some coffee and donut points.

FRIDAY, FEB 2, 2018 at 8:30AM sharp – GROUNDHOG DAY: Potomac Phil, the National Groundhog, will make an appearance and offer weather and political predictions. Phil will let us know whether to expect six more weeks of winter or an early spring. Live accordion music, polka dancers, puppet show, VIP celebrities and more. Dupont Circle, at the fountain. Potomac Phil will emerge at approximately 8:30AM or whenever he damn well pleases

I’ve done it once or twice. I can do it if I have a partner who knows what they’re doing. ^_^

Stemming from Judd’s insistence we drink beer at Westover, this week’s impromptu Friday BAFS HH is at Westover Beer Garden. Come celebrate Ground Hog Day with your fellow BAFS participants!

Team 11 will be having a team happy hour this Thursday at Northside 10 in Alexandria (10 E. Glebe Rd.), not too far from the MVT-4MRT junction. We’ll probably be there from 5:30 to 7:30 or 8:00 p.m.

Infiltrators are welcome to crash the party. And yes, this is at the same time as Sunyata’s happy hour in Falls Church. Bonus points for extra-happy people who make it to both.

If you can’t bike the entire way, there is plenty of parking at Dismal’s church.

I’m planning to come to this – thanks for doing it & spreading the word! I find this thread messy & confusing, but I’m talking about Sunyata’s Thurs 2/1 happy hr in falls church….. Also thanks for putting it on the calendar! And to reji for re-posting it on the team 15 strava club….

That’s on-street parking, but beware apparently the presence of bike lanes causes drivers to run into parked cars on Washington Blvd.

PS: It’s the Lutheran Church 4 blocks to the west. Personally, I park my bike inside, a privilege that is unavailable to non-member riffraff.

    Impromptu College Park Happy Hour
    Today, Tuesday, 30 January
    7-8:30pm
    The Board and Brew
8150 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD

Ride your bicycle to the Board and Brew in College Park, MD for an impromptu happy hour! The drink special is 3 beers for $13 or 5 for $18 – for the table.

There is ample bike parking on the sidewalk and also inside of the parking garage (multiple locations in the parking garage – if the main one is full, look around). It is easy to access this location by coming up the Trolley Trail and turning left onto the Paint Branch Trail. You can cross Route 1 at the light, or take a left onto the sidewalk and take a left onto the trail to go under the bridge.
