    That said, Boomer is inviting people to join him for a post-pancake ride on Monday before he flies away to Brazil.
    Given it’s a holiday (for some), pancakes will start later at the usual Lazy Mike’s in Falls Church. Ride will go out to Green Lizard where one may buy drinkable coffee (recommendation: get pancakes at Mike’s and coffee at GL).

    Feel free to show up at Mike’s whenever. Ride will likely leave around 9:30.

    Team 4 (and maybe 5 and 6 and 7) social ride tomorrow to strategically located Shortcake Bakery (at the approx intersection of the NW Branch Trail, and Anacostia River Trail, the NE Branch trail and the Hyattsville trolley trail, tomorrow at 10am-12pm.     There will be a ride leading from Proteus to the MLK Memorial tomorrow. Here are the event details.

    Leaving from Proteus at 10am PST (Proteus Standard Time – a joke that means we will leave 5-10mins after the hour to allow for stragglers to arrive). Heading down the ART trail system to Maine Ave, cut over to Hains Point and up Ohio. Return trip will be along the same route. I plan to stop for food/drinks somewhere in that area, maybe Navy Yards – a chance to warm up. Temperatures are going to be cold, so dress appropriately and consider a change of clothes for food stop.
