According to the website, they do:

but you might want to call to double check. I went once; it was a very nice ride. Not a breakneck pace but a very friendly group of women. If the pace or distance is too much, they will not drop anyone.

I also got an email from Fresh Bikes; they will be doing a beginner/moderate shop ride out of their Mosaic location on one Monday evening per month this summer. I can’t access it here so I can’t tell you which day they start. I believe Dirt had some role in planning that route.

There are a couple of women’s Meetup groups for cycling. I’m not too familiar with the Shirlington one, but from the description it may be more intense than what your wife wants. The Sassy Sisters group is pretty varied and ridden with some of its members.

There is also Babes on Bikes.

Not strictly women-only, but Potomac Pedalers has a C ride around Alexandria/Belle Haven/Mt. Vernon. There are usually 2 groups: CC tends to have more men, and C has more women. This occurs on Saturday mornings, and may also occur on Tuesday mornings when the weather warms up.

WABA’s Women on Bikes is organizing Ladies Rides around. I’ll mention they should do a NoVa one (there may be one in the works already) and post…

Bicycle Space offers the “Nice and Easy” ride every Saturday morning.
