The Tour des Bibliothéque is the Arlington Public Library’s annual staff-and-community bicycle tour of seven of the county’s eight library sites (Plaza Branch Library is closed weekends).

It’s a great way to cap National Library Week on the eve of Earth Week.

This year’s tour will be held Saturday, April 19 and will begin at Central Library, covering some 30 miles. It will take between three and four hours but there will be several options for riding shorter portions. Central Library is located at 1015 N. Quincy St.

Registration is open. Here’s the info link:

We hope to see you there. Any questions? Email ArlLibBikeTour@gmail.com

Please note: The bicycle tour will not be held in the event of bad weather.

I think they need to be more specific.

I think once you register, they should be able to notify you of any changes.

I did this ride a few years ago and hit some parts of Arlington I had never seen before by bike. It’s a chill ride and a great way to enjoy a spring day and meet new people.

Thank you to the library folks who do this year after year. (I’m sorry I can’t make it this year. I will be out of town.)
