Ugh.You may either join us then, or if you are f148vr (aka HF) and his speedy bud, Colin, you can just start at 8 and catch us.
Is that riding out to Reston and back? Come on, you know you want to, what’s an extra 29 miles on a century, oh yeah, a double metric! :p Do it for the NBC points.

ParticipantLast year I rode almost 158 miles on Reston Century Day. Easy peasey.

ParticipantMy headcount is 15 confirmations (including me) – – between the B4 group calendar, PMs and this thread – – as follows:
Amalitza, Bettina, Colin, Edwin (work permitting), Hank & Henry (metric), F148vr (aka HF), Jim (still needs more peer pressure, hint, hint), Kitty, MK, Powerful Pete, SarahB, SteveO & Trey.
Popular opinion is to roll from Reston Towne Center starting line at 0630! Be there, or see you at the post ride buffet!
Shout out if your name is not on the above list, and you want to connect with other cyclists doing this ride.

ParticipantI’m signed up for the full century, but due to a strained quad I may instead ride with some friends who are signed up for the metric.

Just ’cause you’re in some far away time zone doesn’t de-obligate you from keeping up with the thread.

ParticipantHere are some pics of the Blokes-Broads-Bikes-and-Brews team that rode in yesterday’s RBC2015 full and metric centuries….
In the beginning…
Halfway there at Round Hill rest stop (mile 46)
Almost there at Ashburn rest Stop (for the second time today @ mile 90)
SteveO’s post ride therapy…(after 103 miles!)

It only took 90 miles to get Amalitza to smile…but an excellent smile it was.

The tailwind was not the only thing that Powerful Pete lied about.

Vulgar fabrications, I say! I was misquoted! I was misunderstood! I was… in serious oxygen deficiency! I was being supportive!
Oh, ok. I lied.
But honestly, would you trust this guy?

Speaking of trust, can you trust Strava?
Everyone gets on my case about the hills, but it seems mine were easier than everyone else’s. According to my Strava, I only went up 4969 feet, which is hundreds less than others I was riding with.August 26, 2015 at 2:48 am #1036496Boomer Cycles
