The poseur with the flat tire on the Custis Hill two nights ago was my son, who had worn through his tire using my trainer ~ but who has refused, like any good teenager, to learn how to fix a flat.

If only there were some place nearby where teens could learn to fix a flat. For free. ;)

No no no. That’s what DAD does. Cant have any association with THAT!

    Meanwhile:

Me: So did you fix your tire?

    Kid: No.

    Me: [Looking at him]

Kid: I know how to fix a tire. I just didnt want to do it until you were home.

Meanwhile his choice of college seems now to be based entirely on how good their cycling team is and whether they have LAB certification as a Bike Friendly College. I wonder if there is any way I can get him to come mountain bike riding this saturday.

I admit to being partially guilty here. I put a few drops on the other day, but between work travel and some other commitments I just haven’t had the time to do it right. Really I need to even do a tune-up.
