ParticipantI’ve never ordered from here, but I have browsed around before:

ParticipantI second the dontgethit.com site…
I just received this vest: http://www.dontgethit.com/360deprve.html in lime, which was on sale (Still is as of this posting) Great fit, solid build….
Also, I don’t remember who mentioned this place on another thread that’s floating around here, but I just got myself some tape from this place http://shop.reflectivestore.com/ it’s a bit on the pricey side, but this is industrial grade stuff right here and you get a ton of tape…super bright, and truly tough to peel off once applied…It’s made for marine/industrial applications, but I love having it on my bike/bag. I saved myself a but of money and went with the 1/2″ roll…not cheap, but worth every penny in my opinion…
In addition to the items being solid from both stores, I found shipping to be fast, the websites easy to navigate, and service to be top notch. No problems.

ParticipantI’m also a fan of don’tgethit — I have on of their crossing guard vests that I really like. I usually don’t wear a full vest.
http://www.dontgethit.com/allarbesa.html — I recommend ordering the larger size unless you like the belt part to be under your ribs (I’m 6′ and 190lbs).I’ve gotten white reflective tape from this site. I use it on my cranks and inside of my wheels. On the kids’ bikes I put it on the front of the fork. It’s also on the stem of my folding bike. Reflexite is very bright even at odd angles.

ParticipantEvery winter when discussions come up about night time visibility come up I feel compelled to chime in with the lowest common denominator solutions. Don’t forget, after looking at all the pricey online options that Home Depot sells a $10 safety vest for $10 and Costco has LED flash lights with strobes in three packs for $25. My favorite application for the strobe flashlights is to hang one under the saddle or from my belt. Very visible and yet even works on a Cabi bike.

ParticipantCorrect me if I’m wrong, but it seems a flashlight hanging from your belt would be pointing at the ground.

ParticipantYep. I have plenty of lights, handle bar light, helmet beam light, tail flasher, helmet back flasher. I’m an urban bike commuter and have been for 12 years. I plan to continue to be. What I discovered is that often none of that matters. A cyclist in an urban area with too many other lights competing can be lost in the clutter. A bright flashlight set to strobe lights up the frame of my bike and to a lesser extent the reflective stripes of my Michellin City tires and makes me look _ODD_ to drivers. Odd enough to take a second look. I know because it’s been commented on. Its also something I recommend to people riding around downtown without any lights either on CAbi’s or personal bikes. A flashlight with a strobe is an easy hit for a casual rider – everyone can use a flashlight, this version just might save their skin.

ParticipantOn topic: I like this stuff. There’s enough to deck out 20 bikes. I need to order some soon. I have a few builds coming up and I’m almost out of tape.
