Recycling old bike tires

Are there bike shops in DC or Arlington that will take old bike tires for recycling? I have a bunch of old tires that are sitting in my basement that I would like to get rid of, but I don’t just want to send them off to a landfill. I know for car tires there are services that will take them, but I haven’t found one explicitly for bike tires.
