    um, actually

One can coast on a fixie. You just need to find a safe place to stow your feet/legs and have really good timing to get them back on the pedals without leading to total carnage…

    Did i miss anyone?

Tri360 hills ride this Saturday fixed. http://www.tri360.com/about/group-rides-pg76.htm

1/8 is my huckleberry, anyone else?

btw the website says they may not ride if it’s less than 30 degrees, let’s do it even if they cancel.

I want to do that ride geared once and then try it fixed. And this Saturday doesn’t work for me. But don’t take me off the list of people you want to kill… I mean attendees.

Tempting, but I’m not sure either my legs or my bike are up to it.

    Hahahahahahha. 30 degrees.

Ugh. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I can’t do it this weekend…

I … uh … haven’t fully adjusted to downhills yet. It was only yesterday I went down from Virginia lane without feeling the need to tap the brakes. I can go upward, though.

I’m going to a Bar Mitzvah Saturday! I’d like to try another time, though, totally.

Sounds like good challenging fun, but I’m taking a few students down for the state science fair competition in VMI, but they get to watch me race on Sunday. I’m up for the next one.

Is this still on? My legs are beaten up but if I skip N Quebec St I might be able to do the ride without walking.

It’s that last hill along the country club that always wears me out.

OneEighth had to cancel but I’m still going fixed with our Bikenetic teammate Peter T.
Teammate Miriam might join w/ gears and Paula too. You should definitely come now that Cranky Monkey has been cancelled.

Sorry I’ll miss this! I’ll ride my fixie to the Bar Mitzvah, though.

My legs seem to have spent the weekend internalizing fixie-riding, because this morning felt pretty darn good. I’m even thinking maybe I’ll bring it to the next Bikenetic coffee ride. Madness.

Well, that’s good, because dcv said this morning that he wants to do the Tri360 hill ride fixed again this Saturday. You and I can be the sweeps for the ride (since we’ll both be guaranteed to be off the back the whole time).

Yeah why not. If the downhill gets too crazy I’ll just lift my legs up and let the pedals do their thing. This is why we have brakes.
