I’m sure you’ve all heard about RAGBRAI in Iowa, but how about RAIN and RAINSTORM in Indiana? RAIN is 160 miles Terre Haute to Richmond in one day this Saturday (July 21) with the route on US 50 (detouring around Indianapolis). I’ve done RAIN twice and what to try RAINSTORM (five centuries starting in Richmond, ending in Terre Haute with no rest days and then RAIN) in 2020. I can’t do it in 2019 because that’s when we’ll be leaving Frankfurt. Is there anyone else crazy enough do do this with me? registration won’t open until January 2020 so you have some time to think about it.

If this were gravel I would be ALL over it. But… pavement.
ETA: Oh wait… This is during the same time period that I will (hopefully) be doing Trans South Dakota. Care to do that instead? 😎

RAIN 2020 is scheduled for July 18, 2020. No info yet on RAINSTORM 2020 and the sponsor’s website may be down.
It looks like TRIRI and Rainstorm are no more. You snooze, you lose.
