    Hello —

My colleague is doing some spring cleaning and has a 1984 Nishiki to part with. Hasn’t been ridden in at least a decade so it obviously would need some work, but am I mistaken that people like those frames for a project bike? Would it be worth the effort to try to sell it, or should she just let the building maintenance people dispense with it when they clean out the abandoned bikes?

    Thanks.

    Liz

I had an ’86 Nishiki for a short time when I was a kid, but it got stolen. She’s more than welcome to send it my way so I can relive my misspent youth.

In seriousness, she could probably get a bit of money for it. Do you know which model?

There are people who’ll buy anything that rolls on Craigslist (and some that don’t). I’ve seen lots of frames at $50-100. They seem to sell.

Get some pictures and I bet people here could tell you what she might get for it if she sold it – then she could decide if that was worth the hassle.

Never this! At a minimum consider donating it to Phoenix Bikes!
