Sundial on the side of a house on S. West Street, Falls Church, VA.
This sundial is listed on the North American Sundial Society webpage.
On cloudy days and at night, these sundials are timeless.

If this is not the largest mural in the DC region (as claimed by the Boro developer who commissioned it), it is certainly one of the largest, measuring 400’ long and 70’ tall. It’s located at 8350 Broad St, and is clearly visible from Leesburg Pike / Rt 7. The artists are Jessie Unterhalter and Katey Truhn from Baltimore. They began working on it in May 2021, and it was finished in June and celebrated with a huge party.February 22, 2023 at 4:33 am #1125460cvcalhoun

At the Dog Haus in Bethesda. Of course, it would be easier to appreciate the artistry without all those dumpsters.Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk

“moai” statues on N. Van Buren St in Falls Church, VA.
Not sure this counts as public art, so I did not use the hashtag in my Strava.
But I was surprised to see them for the first time, on a street I have cycled on soooo many times.February 23, 2023 at 1:32 am #1125503bikingjenn

ParticipantA small part of an Aniekan mural celebrating Langston Hughes and NE DC. Parked cars prevented me from getting more of it into the shot.

Happened upon this mural, “Tysons Luxury Lilies,” while exploring Tysons on my bike this afternoon. It was painted by Lawrence “Naturel” Atoigue in 2016, inspired by Monet’s “Water Lily” series. The mural consists not only of water lilies, but also an understory of vegetation, shimmering water and angled sections with design patterns from the fashion world, where the artist started his career. Atoigue is from Landover, MD.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
