Rides must be AT Least 10 miles to earn the #publicartfinder hashtag in your Strava ride title.

If your Strava post shows only single digit mileage (9.99 or less) then you shouldn’t hashtag it #publicartfinder.

Beware, the PublicArtFinder lurks on Strava….

This bronze statue, “Taking Flight,” is located just outside the entrance to the Vienna Community Center (120 Cherry St SE, Vienna). The artist is Seth Vandable. The statue was installed in 2017, dedicated in honor of all community volunteers, but particularly late Mayor M. Jane Seeman.

“Leap of Faith” by artist Lorenzo Quinn is located in the lobby of 1900 Reston Metro Plaza. Only the revolving door was open so I couldn’t take my bike into the lobby. For a better photo of the statue, see my Strava feed (https://www.strava.com/activities/8568675114).

Guilty (of multiple offenses) as admitted; the faceless cabal will allow you to continue to play if you go back and remove the #publicartfinder hashtag from the non-qualifying Strava posts (and by doing so save the audit committee’s time from verifying your rides;-)
