One of six small mosaics near the mosaic portrait of Marvin Gaye at the west end of the Marvin Gaye Trail. Near the bike share station. I should have replaced the missing grip and shifter grip before taking the picture but be assured the repairs were made.

P.E.A.C.E Mural at Dogwood Elementary School in Reston (12300 Glade Dr.), painted by Richmond-based artist Hamilton Glass. From the plague next to mural: “In 2020 Dogwood Elementary School students worked on a collaborative interior wall mural designed by Glass while participating in distance learning. It helped build a sense of community while we were apart. The mural’s central theme is Dogwood’s motto of PEACE: Peace-Equity-Access-Connection-Excellence. In 2022 we commissioned the artist to work the design to fit an exterior wall next to our Kiss-n-Ride lane so that the entire Reston community could enjoy the artwork.”
