While there is already a thread in the Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee sub-forum about this, I thought that this issue could get more page views on the General Discussion thread. The County Manager has proposed certain funding cuts to bicycle/pedestrian funding, including the elimination of one of the bike/ped planning positions. The County did not seek input from the ABAC before making this proposal.
There are more details in the other thread. I’m reposting here so that if people don’t follow the other sub-forums that carefully, they can still learn about this issue. If you are an Arlington County resident and you are concerned about the proposal to cut bicycle/pedestrian funding, you may want to communicate with the County Board and the County Manager about this. dasgeh has posted the email addresses in the other thread along with more details about what is going on.
