I’ll start: is that a garage door opener under your seat, or are you just happy to be home

(Mounted a garage door opener under the seat. It is awesome to have the door open as we roll up. It’s not water proof, so it’s wrapped in plastic.)

Is it proximity based, or do you have to click it?

Click it. Which means you get to grab your crotch to open/close it.

Total installed was $20, I think.

I never realized there’s this whole world of wifi/BT garage door openers (and cool DIY options). http://postscapes.com/wifi-garage-door-opener Makes sense, just never occurred to me, not having a garage door … or expectations to ever have one in Arl. Would be nice. Le sigh.

I’ve already told him to shut up and take my money.

Just ignore the one percenters and their first world problems. They just can’t imagine the problems of the huddled masses in the slums of Westover.

I followed Sheldon Brown’s advice and made myself one of these tools for assembly of my carbon wonderbike.

Anyone use Sugru to make bike hacks? Seems cool, but I’m gunshy about its permanence.

I took apart a bottle opener and bolted it to my frame so I’ll always be ready for beer. Don’t have a pic handy.

The idea of relying on a piece of stuck -on epoxy to activate my brakes terrifies me.

Thank G_d for modern lighting systems. Before we had reliable, affordable off-the-rack lighting systems, all of us tried a variety of flimsy and jury-rigged lights and reflectors. Not only did these cast a pathetic beam of light, invariably your 4 AA batteries would give up on the darkest portion of the ride home.

Solution to make the mud guard on the rain bike long enough to prevent spray on my backside using self-adhesive foam from one of my kayak’s accessories.

This is a Baby Jogger cup holder, added to the handlebar of my cargo bike. Great for refreshments on my way to farmer’s market, grocery store, etc.
