So not to be too gross. Has this happened to anyone? I crashed riding over big logs on singletrack last weekend, nothing major – skinned my knee. Rode to work as usual, 3 days later my knee starts to hurt. Did a long ride yesterday and my knee hurt more and noticed last night it looked bruised, even though it wasn’t before. I don’t think it’s a bruise due to the delayed reaction.

I know I should go see a doctor, just wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience.

Also making a thread to post injuries, PeteD do you want to go next? Hope you’re healing up.

That lack of specificity is calculated and purposeful, you know.

Wait – this isn’t fair. DKel’s text to me this morning referenced a “dumb and mud-related” accident. I don’t think saying in the response text “Don’t do dumb things” lacked specificity or was calculated and purposeful. Just saying.

I will, however, require him to wear body armor from now on.

My sister’s elbow (yes it’s her elbow!) not long after toppling over yesterday:

And the x-ray revealing the problem:

She was out getting used to her new Specialized Roubaix, which she got on Tuesday (a huge step up from her 15 year old Trek Multitrack). She tells me it was a slow-speed maneuver, which is a little scary, considering she will probably have to have surgery to repair that amount of damage. I was going to try to get her to ride to whatever Memorial Day Coffee Club gets organized, but I have a feeling she’ll be off the bike for a while!
