Great idea. More practical than the forum tag that ended up permanently clipped to my commuter rig, leaving me unmarked on the other bikes. And visible from multiple angles.

Would you please make sure Eric Williams’ weighs at least 10 pounds, unless he’s on my team?

There is a brand of Israeli chocolate called “Elite”. I could get some at the Fairfax Shoppers. I am sure someone can think of a suitable thing for which it could be the prize.

Man, I can’t wait for Jan 1, so that my Strava feed gets more interesting:

I also want to announce a solution to this issue:

    I volunteer!
I have ordered a big supply of NEON GREEN ankle bands like this:

When they come in I will make them available for $3 each; 2 for $5. You can put them on your ankles or just wrap one around one of your tubes. I think the green is unusual enough to make it easy to spot each other.

I’ll definitely be in for two.

I’m in for a couple of ankle bands. And I will happily sponsor a Pointless Prize again this year. Maybe 2. Specifics to be determined at a later time, as usual.

I will be doing a Pointless Prize.

    It will be coffee related.

    I doubt anyone’s surprised.

International shipping, or will they be available at the first happy hour?

I like! Kindly hold two for me. I can’t come to coffee this Friday to retrieve, but will do so some other time.

I will have them at the Inspired to Ride film this Thursday at the Drafthouse & Cinema

Bike Arlington (actually WABA, sorry) is hosting a ride to the film from Courthouse at 6PM.

    Hope to see you there.

I also am a maybe for this week’s Imperial HDCC at Best Buns.

I can sponsor a pointless prize this year! If possible I’d like to award the coldest ride or something similar… Maybe the most miles in the single digits or something like that. I can’t participate this year because I’ll be gone for all of Jan-Feb, but where I’m going will be a perfect place to pick up prizes.

    I’m thinking 2 prizes:
    1) The ride during the coldest recorded temperature of the contest
    2) The longest ride on the day with the coldest high temperature

As I recall, the program recorded temperatures for semi-local reporting stations right?
