1/25/25 – metal sculpture in Tysons, a beacon of light in an otherwise bleak place it’s at the corner of Westpark and West – something else.I’m afraid I neglected to look at the info on the sculptor.

I rode >10 miles but didn’t tag this #publicartfinder on Strava because I broke my ride into two parts since I was only “#withkid” for the first part of the ride. Forgot to restart Strava on a new ride for myself for the first mile after drop off, but that’s another story…

#publicartfinder 1/27 – I stopped in Uniontown, PA birthplace of George C Marshall, a Five Star General in WWII, Secretary of State, and Secretary of Defense.  There are statues of him, but I think they’re along the snow covered Rotary Walk path.  In the George C Marshall Memorial Plaza there is the statue pictured here erected in 1936 by the VFW.
