Note the adult/infant swing combination. The swing set is quite unique. I’ve never seen one like that.

A capivara, the world’s largest rodent … essentially a rat the size of a pig that will definitely result in going over the handlebars if you hit it while cruising down the bike trail, no matter how fat your tires are…

This park contains the last remnants of the tropical forests that used to cover São Paulo, before they paved it and put up the world’s 3rd largest city

ParticipantProspect Hill Park
You can see the Air Force Memorial in the background.
It seems this might be a niche place to watch the July 4 fireworks from. Some people in the nearby apartments may know of it, but otherwise it’s probably a secret viewing spot.

I went there several years. The trick I used was to park my pickup there (in a ideal spot for viewing) with some folding chairs in the cab. Go up before the fireworks and set the chairs up in the bed of the truck. Easy peasy, seating a couple of feet above the crowds on the sidewalk.

ParticipantQuestion re: Park Names
If someone posts a picture in front of Kings Park Park, do they get double points since Park appears in the name twice? Asking for a friend

ParticipantQuestion for @camiller (and her alone, thank you). Fairfax County has a number of parks along Pimmit Run for which they have posted maps with little tiny font that list the parks, and that constitutes signage. The only sign for entry to a string of 3 parks says “greenway.” Is this sufficient evidence for these be counted (none of which have been posted yet, FYI)? …asking for a friend..
