ParticipantGeorge C. Yeonas park, home of Vienna Little League. When we first moved back to this area, my son was 4 and I was so excited for him to start T-ball with this league. Alas, all he wanted to do was play in the dirt in his white pants. Today, he is an avid mountain biker, so maybe that propensity for the dirt stuck with him.

I was at that park today, too! Near Dickerson, MD. Although, I did not use it for my park since I had one before I got there.
I also did from DC to Cumberland many years ago. I still have memories (not good) of that. It rained the night before and it was muddy. I was going to camp, but I ended up riding 100+ miles to a Super 8 in Hancock. They gave me a hose before allowing me in the room, and then I went to the Pizza Hut and had a large pizza for dinner. (no leftovers).January 13, 2021 at 12:43 am #1109009AlanA
ParticipantThis was from yesterday, but it’s always been one of my favorite park signs.

I wish I could tell you why this park is called 11 – M but I can’t. I asked one of the locals but to no avail…I looked it up online and got nothing but its location. So there you have it…Parque 11 – M for no reason at all!Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

ParticipantVestals Gap Road Park in Loudoun County. This little park is a small nod to very old and (IMHO) fascinating history of this area. You can read more about it here: https://loudounnow.com/2019/01/24/in-our-backyard-preserve-the-vanishing-vestals-gap-road/ From the Algonkian to young George Washington to Daniel Boone, this (former) road served them all. If only roads could talk…

ParticipantThe parks in Torrejon are all taken care of by the city planning division. This park “Las Torres” identifies the buildings around them as the highest in that area of Torrejon.

ParticipantOf course nearly everyone can get the W&OD… but my teammates suggested that I submit it as my first #ParkFinder submission.
