Here’s a brand new pointless prize.
Now that cannabis dispensaries are everywhere, find one on your bike ride and take a picture of it. I’m thinking that getting your bike in the picture could be tricky, so that won’t be required. If you can manage it, go for it. I can only assume that someone who plays along isn’t cheating.
Only one location per day, per person. If you see two, go back another day. No posting the same location again, either.
Posting to this thread won’t be required, but it could make things a bit more fun. Use the hashtag #420 in your Strava ride and include your picture on your ride.
As usual with my prizes, I have no idea what the top prizes will be. lol, maybe a gummy bear?
p.s. All participants must be at least 21 years or older!

I’m glad there is a bit of interest. I would also like to point out that I’m not really a zonked out druggie, but I do enjoy amusing banter on Strava and on here. I’m interested in the ever changing laws here in the US relating to this. The Washington Post just recently had a main page story about the industry:

Neon Tree Dispensary
I’m hoping this one can count, even though I could only get a photo of the outside of the building at 11215 Georgia Ave, Wheaton-Glenmont, MD 20902. (You can see the address in the photo.) Unfortunately, although that is the address listed (without a suite number) for the dispensary, it turned out to be in a large office building with nothing on the outside indicating the name. However, just let me know if this violates the rules and I will untag.

But only because I used to work at 11510 Georgia Ave. Is that the building right next to the Safeway?

This one will take a bit of explanation. The sign over the door says “District Glass Studio,” so the first time I was there, I thought perhaps a different business entirely had taken over the building.However, the website for Washington Dabbers Club was still was still obviously live, and still obviously a cannabis place (even though they claim not to be selling the stuff, but only to providing a “free gift” with a purchase or donation).
So I verified with them that the address was correct. (See second photo.)
To be completely sure, I walked in. And I have to say, I’ve never seen a glass studio where you had to show ID proving that you were at least 21 to walk in. Also, all the glass items were pipes. And there was a little terminal in the back where you could select the product and check out.
So regardless of what it looks like outside, I can assure you this place meets the requirements.
