2/13/25 CRANE

Richard and I went hunting all over creation to find a crane and low and behold as I took one last attempt on Hains Point (kinda where we started our Capitol Hill/Stadium trek) he saw one from a higher vantage point as he was about to cross the bridge into Virginia and shouted down to me.

I think this is my favorite shot because the contrast and focus on the crane is good, but I’ll post others on Strava. There also a distant, purple crane near the Kennedy Center perhaps.

This is Duchess. I thought I was asking a random person if I could take a pic of her dog, but when she told me the dog’s name I realized what family she belonged to, & they’re my neighbors 😁They moved around the corner so I don’t see them as often anymore.

February 15 – Mascot. Unlike the other items, which require the actual thing rather than a picture of the thing, this could be either an actual live mascot (e.g., the Oriole bird running around the field) or a picture of one on a sign (e.g., Colonel Sanders on a KFC sign). However, it should not be on an actual item (e.g., don’t go into a supermarket and find Tony the Tiger on a box of cereal).
