Custom mailbox

In my neighborhood there are very few mailboxes on posts. Mostly there are slots in doors or plain metal rectangles mounted beside the door.
This house, though, has a lovely wooden one that matches the wood of the door

The (not so mighty) Rio Grande near Las Cruces, NM. I crossed it twice and nary a sign of water.

I saw a wooden one like that as I pondered the statistical probability of finding a custom mailbox in NE DC over the last several days. 1 in approximately a zillion? If this counts, I should go back, if only I remembered where….

Ride somewhere else until you find one!! I was in an area that had mostly cluster boxes, and I spotted one of my best ever along a side road.

Steve O, I know you can do better (and ride outside your neighborhood Letter box on the house is fine; but it needs to be unique / custom design (not something bought from a store).

Check my earlier post for link to Google photo album of mailboxes from around DMV and/or thread from FS2021 pointless prize I had of custom mailboxes. Plenty out there from participants that year.
