ParticipantStrong start on Day 1! Bikedavid & DCAKen spent some time taking photos
The “QQ” plate is a temporary plate that US military/gov’t employees get after they ship their car back from overseas.
Ride safe & keep your eyes peeled! DC area has to be one of the best place to find a wide variety of license plates.

Wow. Nice find on the first day. Where are you riding to find all those?
Surprisingly, I did not ride far from home. I rode in and around Cameron Station in Alexandria.

Alternate Scoring Winner will be the person with the most unique plates (I will count one of each variant of state plates + one each of special/other plates (e.g. Canadian province, Diplomat, US Gov’t, etc.)
Ok, so we CAN post multiple images of the same state, to get alternative plates, but only one plate from that state will count towards our state total, correct?

Catie,
Main game is only 1 point per state (regardless of which variant of plate you find).
Alternate scoring game: still only 1 point total per same type of plate per state, but I’ll count new points if you find a new variant of a state plate (e.g. one point each for VA kids 1st, Blue ridge parkway, Appalachian trail, etc.). No points if you post the same type/variant of a given state twice. Let me know if more questions.

ParticipantLove all the activity. I’ll have time later this weekend to update scoring sheet. Guessing things will slow down then anyway if the snow around DC materializes.
