ParticipantI saw a Chihuahua tag today, but I was in the car in Van Horn, TX. I have yet to see a HI tag on my trip, though.
I’ve always enjoyed looking for plates. And now, since I travel, I like to find the IFTA stickers on the trucks when I pass them. Hah! That would be quite a challenging game for FS!! I’d clean up when stopped at the Loves truck stop on my bike ride.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! BikeDavid, you are the 1st to complete the 50 states & DC!
When I tried this last Spring in DC, ND & WY were two holdouts I could never find, so I know how impossible it can seem at times.
You have earned the first pointless prize (still to be named….my apologies, but have no fear, it’s coming).Everyone else, please keep playing and I will keep scoring. Let me know any questions.
I saw DCAKen is traveling recently (wondering if his trip out West is also taking him to Hawaii.
Catedrew is a fierce competitor for finding variants, but there is plenty of time for any & everyone else to do even more.Colorado doesn’t have the variety of state plates around like DC (I’ve still not seen DE & HI), but they do have lots of variants (ok, maybe not as many as Virginia, but enough).
Here is a link to the 40 versions available.
I need to break down and start a photo collection to see how long it will take me to find all of them.Kris

Actually, I’ll be in Colorado this weekend, so I plan on looking and finding LOTS of variants for that state! Otherwise, I’ve got 5 left to find to complete my 51: Arkansas, Idaho, Mississippi, Utah, and Vermont. Hopefully those 5 will show up for me before the end of the competition.

Participant2/9/2022 – here’s a few variant I found. One may be a new one for me, but I one or two of the others I think I posted previously, but somehow they didn’t make it onto the list, so I figured I’d post new ones of them.
4.63 – VA – Aviation; 4.64 – VA – Greyhound adoption; 4.3 – VA – Don’t Tread On Me; and 4.130 – VA – Kids First.

ParticipantI went to Clare & Don’s looking for a fish for the photo scavenger hunt (Pisces today.) I found one – but my husband thinks the other one I found is better. However I scored on the license plate department!
Besides the 3 in front there are another 3 just to the left of the guy whose back you see. Zoom in….
3 Californias, 1 Florida, 2 Oregon, and I can’t read the bright yellow one… New Mexico? I’ll hafta check back on that one.

26.2 – TX – temporary tag; 4.131 – VA – Wildlife Conservationist – Wild Turkey; 8.1 – MD – 1812 (I posted one of these before, but I don’t think it made the list).

Participant#47 – MS (two Mississippi really as I found a second, much clearer tag)
The final few are proving to be very hard. I’ve spotted the elusive Nevada 3X but keep confusing it in my frozen mind for Utah [emoji849]. Hawaii & South Dakota no where in sight yet! Hard to ignore out-of-state variants while searching in vain for the remaining 3!

Participant#48: the most reclusive of them all, HI
This was actually the second one I saw today, but I wasn’t fast enough to catch the first one before it sped away from a traffic light. Kind of incredible to see 2 in 1 day, especially after not seeing any until today!
Also saw an American Samoan plate, but couldn’t catch it as it was moving faster than me and turned onto a highway.

One new plate, and a bunch of Colorado variants. I had to fly to Colorado and took advantage of their bike share and got some great plates.
