4.121 – VA – George Mason University; GV-2 Federal Government plate variant 2 – this one has GSA in the lower left corner, and the previous one I posted on Feb. 2 had Department of Justice seal in the lower left corner; DP-2 – Diplomat variant 2 – this one has ‘diplomat’ written across the top (the last one was blank, indicating a ‘staff’ plate). As an FYI the diplomat code reader says this one is from Australia.

We were riding along together on N West Street near the Braddock Road Station and both noted this oddities and said “woah” but weren’t sure exactly what it was at first pass. Were we ever surprised after we circled back for a closer look: #plates jackpot!

If I recall correctly, those low numbers are reserved for politicians/patronage. See the first entry under the “Optional Plates” section: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Washington,_D.C.
