ParticipantHave you reported issues to the County? I don’t think they are going back to places on their own, but have been responsive when I’ve tweeted at them. I imagine calling works too.

Apologies if this was covered. I searched and didn’t find it. (Is there an acronym for that?)
ISADFT?
I get the sense that they’re going to let nature take its course for whatever is left.

ParticipantBy the way, the county responded to my emailed thanks for clearing the Custis Trail. They said they were going to do an after-action study and that my information would be helpful for that. However, since they said “thank you for letting us know your *street* has been plowed,” I’m not sure how helpful it will be.
Still kinda love Arlington; you can’t really love something that’s perfect.

Surprisingly, VDOT (but not Arlington, AFAICT) was still clearing the streets, including some bike lanes, as of yesterday. I noticed this morning that all the piles of snow in the right-hand land and bike lane on Washington Blvd. west of Lee Hwy were cleared some time after my Tuesday AM commute.

ParticipantWhere? The Snow Issue Form is inactive. The Make A Service request form doesn’t have a category that seems appropriate. The closest is pothole, but that’s different.
As an aside, I did report my neighbor for not shoveling their sidewalk as I did last year – did not expect that to impact the sidewalk but a perfunctory we got your message email is always nice. (This is my only annual complaint to the system, I do shovel for many of my neighbors including 3 parking spots even though I don’t own a car, but this is 6/10 of a mile from me, they appear to be able-bodied, they have lived in their shining new “completely does not fit into the neighborhood” mcmansion for 3 years and I have never once seen them shovel their sidewalk, which is close to a major bus stop and a farmer’s market.)

You could shovel it for them and just happen to put all the snow “out of the way” in their driveway. Probably best to do when they are not at home, though.
Or…you could shovel it while they are at home and then when done, knock on their door and say, “Since your walk was unshoveled I figured an elderly or disabled person was living here, so it seemed like the neighborly thing to do; to help out people who are too old or weak to do it themselves.” I did that once in similar circumstances. Their walk was nicely shoveled from then on.
