Please take the City survey to reject staff’s “hybrid” solution for Seminary Road. The survey closes at 11:59 pm on Monday, June 10th.

Please consider rejecting the City’s proposed alternative, a mostly-four-lane solution. Staff’s alternative does not reduce excessive vehicle speeds, requires crossing four lanes of high-speed traffic, does not provide suitable buffer space along the sidewalks (except in a short section), and does not provide bike lanes. Staff’s alternative is inconsistent with City plans and policies, and does not meet project goals and objectives.

Q8. Other/Overall comments on the staff proposed plan. The staff Hybrid alternative is unacceptable. It compromises safety and is not consistent with City Environmental, Transportation and Complete Streets policies. Please implement Alternative 3 to reduce excessive vehicle speeds, provide 5 to 6 ft of buffer space for people who walk, provide bike lanes (a Top Ten Transportation Plan project, #9 of 96 bike network priorities) and fill the sidewalk gap (Also a Top Ten priority, #9 of 43 sidewalk priorities).
