OK so the forum has been cleaned up without anyone acknowledging that it got hacked. Fine.
But could we please have the old “mobile skin” restored? This is painful on a small screen with the “desktop” layout.
Remind me more about this with a few details and I’ll pass it along.

Thanks. There used to be a “style” pull-down menu at the bottom of each page that allowed choosing a mobile-friendly layout. Here is another vbulletin site with that choice: http://www.singsupplies.com/index.php?styleid=10
(BTW I have no idea what that site is – was just googling for “vbulletin mobile skin” looking for technical documentation or guidance.)

ParticipantI have no idea what that site is either. But I love the instruction at the top that says, “The sex forum is here, so please stop asking.” It’s that combination of wanting porn and being unable to use a search function that makes the Internet what it is today.

ParticipantThe drop down doesn’t show up if you aren’t logged into the forum. Once you’re logged in, it should be there at the bottom:

Are you logged in and still having this issue?

I’m logged in, and it’s not there for me.

ParticipantDo you see the drop down when you are logged into the desktop site?

Maybe it’s a permissions thing?

I don’t. (I’ve never looked for it before, so I don’t know if it used to be there.)

ParticipantOkay, got another idea…
When logged in to the forum, click “Settings” in the top right to go to the Settings page. There are menus on the left. Click “General Settings.” On the General Settings page, way down the page under “Miscellaneous Options,” 2nd item should be a menu to change the forum skin. It’s just like the menu that’s in the footer (for some).
Does that work?

Nope. Used to use mobile skin, and it disappeared a little while ago. Chrome on the phone and firefox on the desktop.

We have had this discussion before. (perhaps not you, specifically, but someone(s) on the forum).
It is not my fault. I am at work. This is what we have, and we do not have the ability/rights to install our preferred software of any type. Please feel free to contact your congressperson to lobby for improved browsing experience for navy (and, probably, other federal) employees.
Thank you for your assistance.
