It was great. The new location has lots of space for the kids to work. It’s got a bathroom which is a major improvement over the old location. About 30 people there when I stopped in.
Nice sign that greets you at the entrance.
Behind the sign is lots of hangers for tires and wheels.
Shelves with lots of parts.
Work stand and tools for the youth mechanics. I think there were 5 of these.
Three youth mechanics were also awarded their mechanics shirts for completing advanced mechanic training. One of them (Emran) made a nice speech talking about how excited he was to earn a bike, but also to meet and work with two of the youth leaders at Phoenix.
Everyone should stop by and check it out. The new shop is 1 block west from the W&OD where it crosses Columbia Pike.
