In your absence, we renamed them “collards”. They’re being served at Third Thursday happy hours.

Brilliant! Hopefully they’re tenderizing it a bit first. :D

You soak them in a mixture of apple cider vinegar and salt water then fry them up in bacon grease. A yummy source of iron.

They will be prepared using the liberal application of the concept that anything is edible if ground fine enough!

    Welcome back, Dirt!

Welcome home. We’ve all been busy posting and liking each other, in the vain hope of catching up with you on the forum leaderboard. Do we get pics of the trip?

The world is now a safer place thanks to the removal of a bollard collar on the Falls Church City Trail (that most W&OD cyclists use instead of the REAL W&OD) near East Falls Church

Yep, I donated one of my lungs to fill the hole, notice the lovely color…… You’re welcome.

After being run over regularly by bike wheels, they’re about as tender as they’re ever going to get. Then again per dbb, the ground up version with a nice Chianti….

    Thank you, sir.
I’m slowly sorting through photos and getting them posted. http://www.flickr.com/photos/pedrogringo/ is pretty much an exhaustive list of everything important that comes between me and my camera lens.

Here’s a taste. As tempting as the beaches and oceans were, it is the middle of winter there. Water temps were in the high 40’s to low 50’s… colder on the South Atlantic coast. I went out a bit on the Indian Ocean side and it wasn’t too bad. I was DEFINITELY the only one out without a wetsuit. It didn’t last long either.

    What were we talking about?

Oh yeah… Collards. Love the greens. Hate the metal ones.

    Love,

    Dirt.
