No, I didn’t make up the story but I did make up the headline. Interesting how it turned out to be a pedestrian, cyclist and car driver who successfully tried to rescue the young girl who fell into the Anacostia River yesterday. Good news is that she should be fine. The cyclist did cut up his hands and knees on the sharp rocks as he tried to jump into the river to reach the girl.
