Panniers

Hello All —

This morning, the zipper broke on my Topeak trunk bag. It has served me well for more years than I can remember and it doesn’t owe me anything, but I was thinking of replacing it with a set of panniers. Preferably something that would be equally adept at commuting and the occasional bike touring/camping trip. Rain resistance is a big plus.

Any advice?

It took six months, but I finally got them! I went with the Ortlieb Front Rollers. Supported a local business, Bikes@Vienna.

I’ve got 3 sets of Ortlieb panniers and they have totally lived up to everything they claim. Easy on and off and great waterproofing.
