ParticipantPhotos of the injuries. At least the skinned knee. Hope you heal quickly.

ParticipantThank’s Liz. The knee scrape is just about the size of a quarter. Nothing much to see. I think my hand might get a little colorful. Maybe I’ll post a picture of that.

ParticipantBruised ribs suck. Mine still hurt now and then from the accident 12/11/12. The thing that surprised me was that the absolute hardest thing to do was roll over in bed.
Hope you heal quickly.

ParticipantThanks guys. I’m not really hurt bad though. I though the hand was the worst of it but it seemed to get a little better over the course of the afternoon while the rib got worse. I’m almost 100% certain rib is not cracked. Not even a bad bruise I think. The fact that my knee might be scraped occurred to me maybe an hour after the fall.
It does hurt to breathe deeply and riding over cracked pavement. Certainly took the wind out of my sails so to speak. I finished with an average speed of 4.0 mph, while usually I can manage 5+. :p

ParticipantPlease go to urgent care and get an x-ray though. Best to know for sure that everything is where it is supposed to be. Did you check your helmet carefully to be sure you didn’t hit your head?
Hope you’re feeling better tomorrow. I’m sure the curb feels bad about its complicity.

ParticipantHeal up soon. Be sure to clean any wounds. Eat protein to help your body repair the damage. Eat plenty of vegetables to boost your immune system.
I would post a picture of my own skinned knees (both of them), but I think I would gross people out. They are only surface injuries, but they looked gruesome a few days ago. Don’t worry though. I’ll live.
P.S. I skinned my knees in an unrelated accident, in a different state.

ParticipantDid you inspect that corner closely? Perhaps there was a trap set in a effort to sabotage the Team 10 leader! Heal up quick!

Team FourCuatroPho denies any knowledge of how that Sriracha got there.

ParticipantWhen I bruised my ribs, I found the most comfortable position was actually on my bike. A nice relaxing roll is very therapeutic too! Hope it heals away quickly.
