So, the internet suggested I had a fully chromed frame under the puke yellow paint on my Mizutani Super Seraph. I figured I would upgrade it by removing the paint. It turns out the the head tube, top tube and associated lugs were dipped in chrome, but the bottom half of the frame was not:

Does anyone know where I can get the rest chromed? Does anyone have any alternative design suggestions?

I think repainting the un-chromed tubes could look pretty nice. Match the paint to the head badge, and leave the chromed tubes and lugs chrome.

    Google found me this: http://www.yellowpages.com/fairfax-va/chrome-plating

Keep in mind that the metal under the chrome needs to be very smooth and nicely finished or you won’t get a mirror-like look. It takes a lot of elbow grease to get it right. Sanding and steel wool really help get it well prepared. The Chrome shop you select can help with this process, for sure.

    Hope that helps a little.

    Pete
