    Thanks for organizing this, Kathy. Sadly I will not be there with my stylish ortho boot because I signed up to attend some froofy fete at the French Embassy. Rookie mistake as I’d rather be partying with y’all. Enjoy!!!

    I’m in (and with a stylish ortho boot) but coming late b/c Phoenix Bikes is doing a pot luck at the EXACT same time. Good thing they are just down the street. Eat first, drink later, I like to say.

    Bad news: the inimitable Rod Smith will be unable to attend.

    Worse news: I, Brünø, will be taking his place and awarding the prizes he sponsored.

    Awkward news: I won one of them. Unless you really want to see me try to award myself a prize (no, no you don’t), I’m going to need a volunteer who can muster an unusual amount of gusto.

    Bummer that Rod is not going to be able to make it out.

    I can award your prize; gusto aside, I can be a pretty awesome awarder (is that a word? No? I am going to make it one.).

    Although, I would kind of like to see you award it to yourself. ;)

    (Seriously, someone should consider video-recording the award-giving part of the evening.)
