Sorry for the lateness in posting this. I’ve been out riding a bike and having way too much fun lately! Thanks to everyone for all that and especially all who helped with the festivities last night.

Please come join us for this final event of #BAFS15 – you don’t want to miss it! We’ve had a great and fun competition this year and we need to celebrate!

Achievements will be recognized, pointless prizes will be awarded, teammates and competitors will be met, and beer, food and frivolity will round out the evening. Special award nametags have been created by MSalemme for all BAFS 2015 participants who come to the happy hour.

This is also a great chance make new riding friends for the remainder of the year with whom you can share your memories of the glories, miseries and most ridiculous moments of this year’s competition.

Details: Friday, March 27 at 6 pm, Capitol City Brewing Company Shirlington. Please contribute $5-10 cash per person to help cover the cost of shared appetizers.

Bike and car parking is plentiful in Shirlington Village. A diagram showing parking info is attached.

See also Post No. 113 in this thread for last minute details.

Many thanks to those who have volunteered to help with various things at the happy hour (fund collecting, nametags, bike parking info, etc.)! It would be helpful if you can show up a little early. If not, we can still use your help in other ways. Volunteers still welcome.

Thanks everyone. Hope you can make it! If you haven’t already RSVP’d, please remember to let me know if you’re coming.

See list of Pointless Prizes. Make sure your name is properly associated and that you are willing, able and equipped to award your prize. Please PM me with any concerns or questions or amendments regarding Pointless Prizes.

    HELP

Do you have a mini-amp and mic or other way of making people audible that you can bring? (Unfortunately, mine is with my son in Charlottesville.) Last year it was relatively impossible to hear people announcing their Pointless Prizes even by standing on a chair. I suspect this year’s turnout may be even larger, making that task even more difficult.

I think the kids have one but it makes you sound like Optimus Prime. Or maybe that’s a good thing.

    Uh oh.

Miss-quote from Dread regarding Hozn’s frame, “yes if I were single.”

I know you got said frame.

Sooo… Now you no longer need to worry about capping n at S-1?

I said solo, not single. And I’ve said other things about n+1 and certain frames, so shut yer gob GB.

Now that I’ve recovered a little more from Thursday evening’s late night fun, I’ve updated the first post and will add to it if needed. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

I may be able to help you with this…have to see if the old equipment from my years as a rock star still works, and if I can get it on my bike!

I told Rockford I’d do all the shopping from now on if I could get a cargo bike. She actually said no! Can you believe it?! Anyway, it’s a small amp, so it should work fine; I just need to try it out to be sure.

I have a small amp you can use if you want. I used to have a nice Sure SM-58 mic, but I’m pretty sure my kids borrowed it for something at school, and…I don’t have a nice Sure SM-58 anymore. 😡

Let me know if you want me to bring the amp. It has a ¼ in jack for input, so whatever you want to plug into it should have that type plug (like the adapter I had for that mic…).

Awesome! I’ve got a mic and patch cord with 1/4″ jack, which I will bring. Do you want to bring an extension cord just in case, or should I?

I can bring an extension. I think my bike will look rad with an amp strapped to it! :D

Checked out the outlet situation at Cap City. Suggest at least 25 feet of extension cord and tape for floor. (I’m going to check this again and see if there might be a way to make it shorter.)
