ParticipantSee list of Pointless Prizes. Make sure your name is properly associated and that you are willing, able and equipped to award your prize. Please PM me with any concerns or questions or amendments regarding Pointless Prizes.
HELP
Do you have a mini-amp and mic or other way of making people audible that you can bring? (Unfortunately, mine is with my son in Charlottesville.) Last year it was relatively impossible to hear people announcing their Pointless Prizes even by standing on a chair. I suspect this year’s turnout may be even larger, making that task even more difficult.

I think the kids have one but it makes you sound like Optimus Prime. Or maybe that’s a good thing.

Uh oh.
Miss-quote from Dread regarding Hozn’s frame, “yes if I were single.”
I know you got said frame.
Sooo… Now you no longer need to worry about capping n at S-1?
I said solo, not single. And I’ve said other things about n+1 and certain frames, so shut yer gob GB.

ParticipantNow that I’ve recovered a little more from Thursday evening’s late night fun, I’ve updated the first post and will add to it if needed. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

I may be able to help you with this…have to see if the old equipment from my years as a rock star still works, and if I can get it on my bike!

N+1! You like the Straggler so much, it’s time for a Big Dummy!

I told Rockford I’d do all the shopping from now on if I could get a cargo bike. She actually said no! Can you believe it?! Anyway, it’s a small amp, so it should work fine; I just need to try it out to be sure.

I have a small amp you can use if you want. I used to have a nice Sure SM-58 mic, but I’m pretty sure my kids borrowed it for something at school, and…I don’t have a nice Sure SM-58 anymore. 😡
Let me know if you want me to bring the amp. It has a ¼ in jack for input, so whatever you want to plug into it should have that type plug (like the adapter I had for that mic…).

Awesome! I’ve got a mic and patch cord with 1/4″ jack, which I will bring. Do you want to bring an extension cord just in case, or should I?

I can bring an extension. I think my bike will look rad with an amp strapped to it!

ParticipantChecked out the outlet situation at Cap City. Suggest at least 25 feet of extension cord and tape for floor. (I’m going to check this again and see if there might be a way to make it shorter.)
