    Now then… the version we get in the mainstream grocery stores, or the genuine Italian import at The Italian Store?

    @starduster, the original stuff is made at the Ferrero factory in Alba, Piemonte (a region well worth a visit if you like your food).

    I vaguely recall US Nutella coming from a factory in Puerto Rico (yes I did google this when I moved to the US) but I could be mistaken.
