Noob Question – Do I need to add a # all Strava rides?

Do we need to add the hashtags in Strava in the ride title only? Or will the # in the photos captions and descriptions count toward the leaderboards?
This is my first time doing Freezing Saddles.

The website only reads the titles, so any game-related hashtag needs to be in the ride title.

As others have said, no.

I tend to add a #BAFS2021 hashtag to my rides just so that I can mark them for myself and so that if I wanted to later write a program to sort through my rides by hashtag I could.
