Welcome kkentium, glad to have another cyclist joining the ranks. You should find plenty of great information on the forum from our robust member list which includes everyone from competitive racers to occasional commuters, and all in between. If you would like to put a face to our names (or fake names as is often the case) we tend to meet up relatively often. Thursday there is a happy hour at Capital City Brewery in Shirlington, VA starting at 5:00. There are also a number of FCC’s (Friday Coffee Clubs) which occur every Friday morning around 7:30 am… One in DC and Swings Coffee, one in Arlington at Java Shack, and another in Herndon at The Green Lizard.

Hopefully we’ll meet you soon, or see you on the trails.

    Happy Riding, and again welcome!

Looking forward to participating in the community and maybe buying my own bike here in a month or so.

Lots of people here will be happy to give you advice on that!

If you feel inclined and enjoy coffee, you can meet a bunch of us Forumers at Friday Coffee Club every Friday at Swing’s near the White House. Just show up between about 7 and 9 and say hi.

Thanks for the warm welcome folks… I will definitely try and make one of the Friday coffee meetups next month!
