    I don’t know that area real super well. I’ve followed this cue sheet from Potomac Pedalers, and it worked (I lived):

    I really don’t know if that’s close to your route though. They have a ton of other cue sheets that start in Nok(l)esville, though. Nothing really that starts in Manassas though.

    You’ll need to be a PPTC member to see the cue sheet library, but I imagine most of these have been uploaded to various mapping sites such as Strava, MapMyRide, RideWithGPS etc.

    Thanks, I may steal some ideas from their cue sheet. It seems like some folks have ridden the busy parts of the road without problem so that is definitely a good sign. Now I just need to figure out switching in an extra water bottle or refilling along the way because I want to keep my pump on one of my two latch spots on the bike.

    Might you put a strap-on (if no frame mounts available) carrier under the downtube? Old touring bikes had places for 3 carriers if the pump was mounted on the top tube.
