The entrance to the pedestrian overpass that goes over rt 66 to the w&od at Madison Manor in Arlington appears outta nowhere like station 9 & 3/4 in Harry Potter See how it looks like a solid wall? When  you get closer it suddenly opens up, like magic.

belated posting from 03/06 as I’m late to this game and just figured out the rules …

I busted out laughing when a caught a glimpse of this piece of public art at the Herndon Art Space as I whizzed by heading east on the W&OD. So I detoured to get a closer look and glad that I did. It’s such a playful piece of art … and it tried to jump in my bike, too LOL

When James jumped on the rope swing at the Orleans Market during the Potomac Pedalers Marshal ride, some one mentioned “George of the Jungle” and everyone laughed… as we were all kids old enough to remember that cartoon and the tagline from its jingle: “watch out for that tree!”

Belated posting for 03/08

Conte’s Old Town roll attracted the largest crowd yet, 25+ cyclists, this past Saturday as well as the attention of Alexandria’s finest. Several jokes were cracked when our ride leader Barb was summoned over to the police car to explain WTF as we were trying to imagine what that conversation must’ve been like. In the end, ALX finest escorted the pack to Ft Hunt to make sure no one rear ended the group ride.

Finally up to date from today’s ride.

Unbeknownst to each of us, both @filipe and I had the same idea/strategy for today’s ride: cheat the westerly winds westward and then sail them back home on the W&OD. I messaged him after I got a lift to Reston and turned out that he was 5 minutes away from me at the Green Lizard in Herndon. So we met up and sailed the winds home together, sharing a good laugh about how great minds think alike, and the universe responds LOL
