new commuter in fairfax

hi guys. im only visiting here in VA for 2 months. im from manila, philippines and visiting my parents here in fairfax. i cant drive a car or motorcycle here to explore the city so my only choice is to commute by bike. im a regular bike commuter back in the philippines and can basically ride miles on my bike.
i live near greenbriar shopping center and i want to bike to tysons corner in vienna. so my question is, can i ride on lee jackson highway? there’s a part of the highway that doesn’t have a bike path that i can ride. back in manila, we can ride on highways, but i dont know what the rules here in VA.
