Oh, that’s it! I’m breaking up the band! D-Rock is no more!

(Not really. D-Rock is too cool to let go.)

Update: I ate two donuts for dessert after dinner.

Also, I could go for Monday pancakes! I think my family would be mighty jealous though. Peet’s / Einstein Bros would be fine too. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day anyway, closely followed by lunch and dinner.

If there’s genuine interest in making MMPC (Monday Morning Pancake Club) a thing, The Original Pancake House is a straight shot down West St from the W&OD. It’s a sit-down kind of place, so we’d need a rough time and head count to get a table, and/or we could try to figure a rolling admission based on arrival time. I’m totally all for this, BTW, and since it’s near my house, I would absolutely roll out of bed early on my day off for this.

I will point out that Mike’s Deli at Lazy Sundae – which makes a great breakfast – is owned by Clare and Dons – which is a supporter of Team Bikenetic. And its very casual so whoever can order pancakes whenever.

Extra credit if you know where the name “Clare and Dons” comes from.

Do they do pancakes? I’ve not ordered that from them. The casual bit is a plus.

    Clare and Don. Clarendon. Duh.

    But why “Clarendon”?

Mike’s Deli is a favorite of teenagers on the weekend. (translation – lots of good food, cheap)

MMPC YEAH! I don’t know if storming a pancake place at 7am is a problem. But what do I know of the ways of daywalkers.

ooh… good place to know about!!!

Note that it doesn’t open ’til 7:30 a.m…. perhaps later than ideal for those with early meetings in DC.

Schmeg. You’re right. Google had said they open at 6 but their website says 7.30 am.
