Need Route Advice — DC to Garrett Park

Hello —

Have to go to Garrett Park after work on Friday. I work near Farragut North. Google Maps recommends the CCT, then jog through Bethesda on surface streets (mostly Arlington Rd), then Bethesda Trolley Trail to Rock Creek Trail. Does this sound doable? Thanks.

Liz, assuming you got the same results from Google that I got it’s all pretty good except the stretch of Arlington Rd. Thats nasty even in daylight and without rush hour. I would suggest the west lane sidewalk of Woodmont until you get north of Old Georgetown. Other than that it looks ok. That stretch of the Trolley trail along Rockville Pike is a real smugness builder as it’s always a six lane parking lot come 6 pm on Friday. 😮
